How to Connect to Your Bedrock Server from Any Platform
Connect to your MANAfuel Minecraft Bedrock server from Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and PC with step-by-step instructions for each device.
Find Your Server Connection Info
Open your Minecraft Bedrock server in the MANAfuel dashboard. Under Connection Info, you will find your server address (IP or hostname) and port (default 19132). Copy both — you will need them on every platform. The connection info is the same regardless of which device your players use.
Connect from PC (Windows or Mobile)
On Windows 10/11 or mobile (iOS/Android), open Minecraft, go to Play, then Servers. Scroll to the bottom and click Add Server. Enter your server name, the address from your dashboard, and the port. Click Save and then Join. The server appears in your server list for quick access in the future.
Connect from Xbox or PlayStation
Console editions do not have a direct Add Server option. Use the "phantom server" workaround: on the same network, a companion app (BedrockConnect or MCXboxBroadcast) redirects the Featured Server entries to your custom server address. Alternatively, a friend on PC or mobile can invite you to the server — once you join via invite, the server appears in your recent connections.
Connect from Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch follows the same process as Xbox. The easiest method is receiving an invite from a PC or mobile player already on the server. The DNS redirect method also works: change your Switch network DNS settings to a BedrockConnect DNS server, then select any Featured Server in Minecraft — it will redirect to a screen where you enter your custom server IP and port.
Troubleshoot Connection Issues
If a player cannot connect, verify three things in your MANAfuel dashboard: the server is running (green status indicator), the port matches what the player entered, and the server is not whitelisted (or the player is on the whitelist). For console players using DNS redirect, confirm their DNS settings are correct. Bob monitors connection attempts — if players are timing out, Bob surfaces the specific failure point in your notification panel.
Optimize for Cross-Platform Play
Bedrock supports all platforms simultaneously by default — no special configuration needed. However, consider adjusting your server settings for the lowest-common-denominator device. Set simulation-distance to 4 and tick-distance to 4 in server.properties to keep performance smooth for mobile and Switch players. Avoid resource-heavy add-ons that strain lower-powered devices.
