How to Install CurseForge Mods on Your Palworld Server
Install mods from CurseForge on your MANAfuel Palworld server with the dashboard mod installer and manual upload options.
Understand Palworld Modding
Palworld modding is community-driven and primarily distributed through CurseForge. Mods range from quality-of-life improvements (faster breeding, expanded inventory) to gameplay overhauls (new Pals, rebalanced combat). Server-side mods affect all players without client installation. Client-side mods require players to install matching files. Check each mod description for whether it is server-side, client-side, or both.
Browse Available Mods
Open the Mod Installer tab in your MANAfuel server panel. The installer connects to the CurseForge Palworld mod library. Browse by category — popular categories include Game Overhauls, Quality of Life, Cheats and Creative, and Multiplayer. Each listing shows download count, last update date, and server/client compatibility. Sort by popularity or recent updates to find well-maintained mods.
Install Mods Through the Dashboard
Click Install on any mod in the Mod Installer. Bob downloads the mod files to the correct directory, checks for version compatibility, and flags any required dependencies. The installation process takes a few seconds for most mods. After installation, restart your server for the mod to take effect. Bob creates a save point before any mod installation so you can roll back if something breaks.
Manual Installation via File Manager
For mods not listed in the installer (or custom mods), use the File Manager tab. Download the mod from CurseForge or the mod author directly. Upload the mod files to the appropriate directory in your server — typically the Pal/Content/Paks/ directory for PAK file mods. Follow the mod author instructions for exact file placement. Restart the server after uploading.
Verify and Troubleshoot
After restarting, check the server log in your dashboard for mod loading messages. Mods that load successfully show an initialization message. Failed mods show error details — usually a version mismatch, missing dependency, or corrupt file. Bob detects mod conflicts and crash loops automatically. If a mod causes repeated crashes, Bob identifies the last-installed mod as the likely culprit and offers to disable it.
